Solidcom H1 System achieves extended range of 330m+ with embedded BodyWave™ antenna

BodyWave™ antenna technology is solving one of the toughest problems in professional wireless audio: keeping the link stable when the human body blocks the signal path. This case study covers how Hollyland integrated the BodyWave™ DECT antenna into their new Solidcom H1 wireless intercom system, and the results verified through their own testing, including:

  • Extended real-world non-line-of-sight range to over 330 metres, surpassing performance previously achieved with an external whip antenna
  • Achieved a 12dB link budget improvement in non-line-of-sight conditions
  • Removed the external whip antenna entirely, producing a smaller, more durable beltpack
  • Cut system cost to roughly half of comparable competitor products, without compromising range or reliability
