Leadership Team
Gareth has been producing internationally leading research in the area of Antennas and Propagation for over 17 years. He is an Associate Professor in Wireless Communications at Queen's University Belfast. His work, which focuses on body-centric wireless communication applications, has won national and global awards, and has been published in prestigious academic journals. Gareth combines deep technical knowledge with strong leadership and commercial acumen, honed through industry-funded research and close collaboration with commercial partners.
Matthew’s pioneering research on wearable and implantable antenna technology sits at the core of AntennaWare’s product development. Previously a Research Fellow at Queen's University Belfast, he brings deep wireless industry experience, having designed antennas for cutting-edge wearable and IoT products. Matthew holds a Ph.D in Wearable and Implantable Antennas and Wireless Propagation, has published in leading academic and industry journals, and is a named inventor on several patents.
Jonny has been active in the professional audio industry since joining APT Ltd in the early 1990s. Key in the 2004 management buyout, he scaling the business to a successful exit. Following this, as a part of aptX Licensing, CSR, and then Qualcomm, Jonny negotiated over 1000 license agreements deploying aptX technology in 12+ billion consumer electronic devices, establishing it as the leading standard in the sector. He has a strong track record in commercial growth, scaling new technologies and companies, as well as identifying and developing talent to build high-performing teams.
Gordon brings overs 25 years of international sales experience for technical services and semiconductor organisations. He played a key part in CSR’s early growth after its successful spin out from Cambridge Consultants, building and managing Direct Sales teams across Europe and Asia Pacific, Inside Sales for customer support, and distributor networks in each region. Gordon also served as Key Account Manager for CSR’s mobile and headset business at Nokia. Today he drives sales and business development at AntennaWare, with a focus on IoT, Sports, and Healthcare markets.
Sara, a senior marketer with 20+ years accelerating revenue at tech start-ups and scale-ups, thrives alongside senior leadership. Her start-up experience has sharpened her strategic marketing capabilities and hands-on campaign execution, with expertise in digital marketing and automation—and a passion for mentoring emerging talent. Spanning B2B/B2C, AV, and pro audio (DisplayNote, Komodo Learning, APT), she holds a CIM PG Diploma in Marketing, IDM Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing, and Google Ads certification.
Danny, a seasoned business development and sales expert, holds an MEng
in Information and Telecommunication Systems. His impressive career includes roles at multinational corporations and government agencies like New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, as well as co-founding a
successful cross-border venture in China. Danny excels at guiding foreign tech firms into the Chinese market, leveraging his deep expertise in bridging complex cross-cultural communication.
Craig has over 9 years experience in supply chain working across industries, primarily life sciences at Oxford Instruments. He has driven company growth by optimizing supply chain and operations. His expertise ensures seamless scalability. Skilled in navigating global supplier relations, Craig champions lean practices and customer focus. He excels at leading teams and building stakeholder relationships. Craig holds a Business Management degree from Queen’s University Belfast.
